The Talon Conspiracy: a treasure trove of liberation & sabotage

If you haven’t already perused it, we highly recommend checking out the Talon Conspiracy, a huge archive of zines, manuals and regular publications from the animal and earth liberation movements. The archives span several decades and include practical guides on sabotage, animal liberation, blockades, good security (though the technological/forensics aspects can be quite dated), scuttling ships, going underground, hunt sabbing, how-to’s on GM crop destruction (the guides to making incendiary devices are mostly redacted, in case you were wondering…); as well as theoretical texts, memoirs on campaigns, and reflections on actions.

From the site: ‘Due to the fragility of the media on which this site’s publications were originally printed, low print runs, and activist turnover, the history of our movement is disappearing at a disturbing pace. Over the years, many activists have also seen their libraries confiscated by law enforcement, never to be returned. By creating quality digital versions of the movement’s history as told through its publications, and distributing them freely around the world, it will no longer be possible for these stories to fade into obscurity. Everyone has a few old things sitting in a box in their basement. It’s time we put all the pieces together and started sharing.’

If you have a publication you think would be really useful to share, get in touch with them (and see here for a list of most-wanted publications).
