There’s been a call from students for a march in Brighton on Saturday for Free Education.
Students are calling for solidarity. Many universities, including the University of Sussex, held occupations yesterday and there have been reports that police in Warwick threatened occupying students with a taser during a violent eviction. Students in Warwick have held a second mass demonstration and reoccupied this morning calling for ‘Cops off Campus’ in response.
This comes in the wake of the mass demo for Free Education that was held in London on November 19th. Click here for a report from the day.
From Brighton March for Free Education:
The 19th of November saw the biggest student demonstration for three years calling for Free Education. The experiment of tuition fees has failed. Free Education doesn’t just matter for students, it matters for the whole of society. On Saturday the 6th of December university students, college students, teachers and parents will join together to march in Brighton to reclaim our education!
