In June last year, an immigration raid on East Street, South London, was resisted by a motley crowd 100-strong. Though the man they arrested was ultimately detained and deported, immigration officers haven’t set foot in the area since. However, next month 3 people will stand trial in relation to events that occurred that day, and they deserve our maximum solidarity. Come along to find out more about the case, the politics of immigration raids in London, and how we can support the defendants.
